Ginger Cardamom Tea

When to weather turns cold ,this warm spicy tea tastes great after I come in from working in the greenhouse or raking leaves. In fact I make it a head of time and keep it warm in a Thermos. The aroma makes the house smell spicy warm and inviting.

Serves: makes approx.4 servings. per serving contains; 55 cal., trace fat(sat fat) 2mg chol.,39 mg sodium, 11 g carb., trace fiber, 3g pro. diabetic exchange 1/2 starch
Vegetarian!

Ingredients
2 cups water
4 tsp' honey
1 TBsp. minced fresh ginger root.
1/2 tsp. cardamom ground
1/2 tsp cinnamon, ground
6 bags black tea or yyour favorite herd tea
1 1/2 cups fat free milk

Step by Step Instructions
  1. In a sauce pan, combine water,honey ginger, cinnamon and cardamom; bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.
  2. Pour over teabags in a 2 cup glass measuring cup. Steep 3-5 minutes according to taste. Strain tea back into sauce pan, discarding ginger and tea bags.
  3. stir in milk; heat through. serves 4 in a 6 ounce cups. serves 2 in coffee mugs. Enjoy!
