The local foods movement is alive and well in Champaign County! Here are some updates on other projects while we finalize our virtual market:
Local Producers Map:
Our local producers map is ready for publication and you will soon be able to find it on gochampaign.com. Copies will be distributed around the community, in the local telephone book, and other “hangouts”. The guide lists the location and contact information for nearly 50 local producers within our county. The map was a project of the Local Food Council and printed with the help of some local sponsors including the Monument Square District, Champaign Bank, the Community Improvement Corporation, the Chamber of Commerce, the Farm Bureau and others. It is a great start to finding a local source for Champaign County’s finest!

Good day and hope you are doing well! The market is open and ready for you! Just a quick note that this is the sad time when I announce asparagus will be leaving us at the end of this week and strawberries are probably nearing their exit too! Act early and thank your vendors for such a tight,, busy season of fun as we have enjoyed both of them so very much!
Good news is though that Cosmic Pam will be back to help at market pick up this week and we so appreciate all of our great volunteers! Charlene and Michelle will handle things as well so please give them big, toothy grins when you see them!

PS…please give the Y staff a huge thank you too when you pay so they know how much we enjoy the ease and options of paying for our items! It sure makes our lives so much easier!!!
