The local foods movement is alive and well in Champaign County! Here are some updates on other projects while we finalize our virtual market:

Local Producers Map:
Our local producers map is ready for publication and you will soon be able to find it on gochampaign.com. Copies will be distributed around the community, in the local telephone book, and other “hangouts”. The guide lists the location and contact information for nearly 50 local producers within our county. The map was a project of the Local Food Council and printed with the help of some local sponsors including the Monument Square District, Champaign Bank, the Community Improvement Corporation, the Chamber of Commerce, the Farm Bureau and others. It is a great start to finding a local source for Champaign County’s finest!

Thursday Evening Announcements!


Hello!!!! It’s time to reopen the market for the week, and there are two announcements!!

The first is from Laura, at ELM Tree Essentials!

I just wanted to give you all a heads up! May 25th will be the last market pick up before we go on vacation mode until the middle of June. So, be sure to get your orders placed these next 2 weeks for any of your soap or oil needs!

The second is that it is finally asparagus season!! And, Beth will be adding her asparagus from Harrigan’s Harvest to the market, Saturday, for next Thursday’s pick up!!!

Market. We just finished our first batch of chicken for 2023! We are
restocked on chicken breasts and thighs.

This week we are doing a few Mother’s Day Specials: 22% off the Brat

Sunshine Love


It was a lovely, sunshine filled market, that allowed me to chat with each of you!

I am finally home, pouring a glass of wine, and opening up the market for another week!

And, yes….many of you got to see that I was given the ok to remove my bandage from my surgery!

Week five of healing with a few more weeks to go until I am back to baking!!

This little local market…I think of it, constantly! It makes me happy, it brings me joy, and it brings all of us this whole variety of local goodness!! It’s just all so good, so easy, so happy…

You, too, can jump on this happy train of ordering. And, you still have until tomorrow morning, at 8am, to get yourself organized, log in, and make your skies all blue, all sunshine, and, just think of Thursday, your pick up, and how you could drive home, loaded up with good for you items, brought to your car, handed over with a sunshine smile, a chat, and a wave…
