The local foods movement is alive and well in Champaign County! Here are some updates on other projects while we finalize our virtual market:
Local Producers Map:
Our local producers map is ready for publication and you will soon be able to find it on gochampaign.com. Copies will be distributed around the community, in the local telephone book, and other “hangouts”. The guide lists the location and contact information for nearly 50 local producers within our county. The map was a project of the Local Food Council and printed with the help of some local sponsors including the Monument Square District, Champaign Bank, the Community Improvement Corporation, the Chamber of Commerce, the Farm Bureau and others. It is a great start to finding a local source for Champaign County’s finest!

Just a huge thank you for an amazing market, once again!! You are the best customers, and I love you to the moon and back!!
A few reminders…pick up is between 4pm-6pm, with no assigned time slots! We have been loving the hustle of getting it all out to the cars, and getting you on the way, while giving you the freedom to pick your own times.
AND…At market pick up…don’t forget to pull over to the side, after you collect your order, and pick up all the fresh flowers that the girls from Flourish will have to offer at their stem bar, set up in the Hippie and the Farmer outdoor garden kitchen!! How fun to arrange your own bouquets, and they will also have house plants available!! BUT…REMEMBER THAT THIS WILL BE A SEPERATE SERVICE, so bring cash with you, or a card that they can run. They will not have access to any of your cards on file!!

On a side note, remember how I always tell you to get your orders in so that you will not be sad? Guess who is sad, today?? Me!!!!! I should have taken my own advice…
