The Weblog

The local foods movement is alive and well in Champaign County! Here are some updates on other projects while we finalize our virtual market:

Local Producers Map:
Our local producers map is ready for publication and you will soon be able to find it on gochampaign.com. Copies will be distributed around the community, in the local telephone book, and other “hangouts”. The guide lists the location and contact information for nearly 50 local producers within our county. The map was a project of the Local Food Council and printed with the help of some local sponsors including the Monument Square District, Champaign Bank, the Community Improvement Corporation, the Chamber of Commerce, the Farm Bureau and others. It is a great start to finding a local source for Champaign County’s finest!

Love Train

Ride the love train
Come on, take a seat
Ride this train, y’all
Everything’s gonna be alright
Everything’s gonna be just cool…
(The O’Jays)

Happy Sunday, all of you lovely market customers. I am hoping that your last day of the weekend is starting out with love filled vibes…

First, I wanted to thank you all, so very much, for the love that you have been vibing to me. I have tried to answer all of your texts, and your emails, but just the overwhelming kindness, has meant the world, this week. I’ve just kind of been doing my own, quiet, groovy things, to keep my mind occupied, and this market has helped in huge ways.

Today is sort of a dreary morning, and the kind that I consider perfect for sitting down, and perusing the market, and deciding what you would like to order.

There’s really no love like the market Thursday love, when pick up rolls around, and we send you off with all the goodness this market has to offer.

Each and every week, I am amazed at how much this market grows, how many new customers we get, and how steady the orders are, coming in.

We thank you, so very much, for being on this whole market love train…

XOXO,
Cosmic Pam
