The local foods movement is alive and well in Champaign County! Here are some updates on other projects while we finalize our virtual market:

Local Producers Map:
Our local producers map is ready for publication and you will soon be able to find it on gochampaign.com. Copies will be distributed around the community, in the local telephone book, and other “hangouts”. The guide lists the location and contact information for nearly 50 local producers within our county. The map was a project of the Local Food Council and printed with the help of some local sponsors including the Monument Square District, Champaign Bank, the Community Improvement Corporation, the Chamber of Commerce, the Farm Bureau and others. It is a great start to finding a local source for Champaign County’s finest!

Product PSA

You know that I love all of the market products, order just about all of them, each week or so, depending on my need.

You know I cannot be without CrisMis’s Jewelweed Salve. I have more rollerballs of patchouli than I can count from ELM Tree Essentials. I must have all the Old Souls lettuce varieties. I need a candle, in each room of my house, from Old Farmhouse candles because they smell that amazing!!

And, one of my newest obsessions are the Wholly Rollies produced by Old Souls Farm!! IN LOVE. These are little powerhouses of protein. If I have one for breakfast, with my coffee, I am good all the way into the afternoon, when I break for a quick lunch. If I’m busy, on the road, or just being lazy for lunch, I will have one of these, and it can carry me all the way through my late dinner, and sometimes, I’m not even hungry for dinner.

The ingredients are natural, the protein is plentiful, they are local, and the serving size is perfect!

There you go…just one more product, of many, that I will be sharing, that I am in love with…

XOXO,
Cosmic Pam
