Your market manager is crazy busy with baking, catering, and delivering but I wanted to take this time to wish everyone a very happy, love filled holiday!!

I feel like we are all a little family with local vibes, and love filled jives!! I value the customers, vendors, and staff of the YMCA for becoming friends, local believers, and market makers!!

We are the doers and shakers of this local food scene, and I am proud to boast that this market remains strong, vibrant, and dear to my heart!!

Thank you for allowing me to manage your market, allow me access into your lives with this Weblog, and allowing our market to serve you, each and every week!

Also, a reminder that we are closed, this week, but will reopen on December 28th!!

Even if you do not need to order, this week, you can still grab a friend, a family member, a neighbor, and plan to shop our Christmas Pop Up Market for gifts that are local, unique, and that reflect our dedication to our growers, producers, artisans…

Merry Everything! Happy Always!

Good morning!! It’s Tuesday, and I am just here to remind you that you have until tomorrow, at 8am, to get your orders in!!

In case you didn’t notice, we have Davidson Family Growers back with us!! It you have been missing his greens and lettuces, get yours, now!!

We have some holiday gift packages, available from some of the vendors, AND, we have a special, on site Christmas market planned for you, in the lobby of the YMCA, on Thursday, December 14th!! Vendor set up will begin between 3pm-3:30pm, and they are ALL kinds of excited to have this pop up market, right inside the lobby!! Make plans to attend!!

Also…we will be closing the market for the week of Christmas. So, we will not have a market on the 28th, but we will be back the next week!! Make sure to plan ahead for your ordering needs!!

And, as a reminder…our market has so many unique and locally produced items, that your Christmas gift list recipients would be so excited to receive! Browse through, and look at all of the possibilities!!

As we near the last days of November, and look ahead to the next month, my mind immediately goes into overdrive.

The thoughts of the hustle and bustle of the holidays, the planning, the shopping, the baking, the travel, the events, the family, the excitement…it can be a little overwhelming if you look at the whole big picture.

I am that person who easily shuts down the minute that I try to look at the whole thing, the whole equation, the big picture. I like simplicity, the ease of things, the peace and love of things…of course I know that the holiday season is about peace and love, but if I look too closely at jammed schedules, events, people, places…I zone.

We all get that way, and that is why our little local market of love can be so helpful in these busy weeks.

Think of us as your comfort place, your ease of ordering and buying all that you will need to feed your family and guests. All that you will need for your baking. All that you will need for lighting your home with candles to make it cozy, soaps to stock the rooms with or for quick gift ideas. Oils for diffusing throughout the house…

We truly have it all, right here, in your own backyard, where we all come together in our own house…this market, our house…

This morning we close the market for the week. Your market manager has been crazy busy with the Thanksgiving holiday, a weekend away, and then a crazy busy event, yesterday. As I ease back into the real world, I am going to make my own life easier, by ordering from the market. And, as my early December gift to you, I am going to leave the market open until 9am, this morning.

So, you get an extra hour, extra time to think about what you need for the week…
