Monday Comes Knocking!

Monday morning comes so quickly!! Not really in a bad way, but today, for me, it was emerging from a lovely little weekend cocoon of a brief visit from my daughter, who flew in on Friday evening. A lovely bridal shower for one of her best pals, and an early morning Mother’s Day celebration, with her, before she hopped back on a flight to Florida.

I then hosted a Mother’s Day Dessert Party for my own mother, with all of my family, as we toasted all of us with champagne…

I spent the rest of the day diving into a few new books that I received on my birthday, and enjoying an early evening of nothing.

But, this morning found me waking, crazy, and ready to get a weblog out, for the market, organize a few months, upcoming, with my businesses, and just embrace the sunshine!!

I hope that everyone had some sort of lovely celebration, yesterday, honoring your mothers, yourselves, and the fact that mothering does not have to be about mothering children of your own, but most of us become mother of thousands…including pets.

I wanted to give you all the weekend to not be pestered with my ramblings, but here I am, rambling on, again…

The market will close, for orders, tomorrow, and pick up will be, as always, on Thursday!!

Thursday Note!

Good morning, lovely market customers!

Just a quick reminder that today is your market order pick up, between 4pm-6pm!

If you need a Friday pick up, we are there between 10am-12pm, only!

And, if you need to pick up on Saturday, we are there from 10am-4pm!!

Please let me know if you are planning to pick up on the alternate days, and not this evening!

We welcome another round of new customers, this week!! Welcome to the market!! Pick up is easy!! You will just be pulling into the circular drive, and we bring your order to your car!

If paying by card, you can call me, ahead of time, with your card information!! I super helps the line if you are not giving me your card, in the pick up line!!

If paying by check, please make it out to Oakview Farm Meats, and if paying by cash, PLEASE have exact amounts, in a ziplock bag, with your name!!

In the event of rain, this evening…and, hey…it’s Thursday, we usually have some sort of weather blow in at pick up, please also put your check in a ziplock bag, to keep it dry, while I am getting your orders into your cars!!

It looks like a full day of rain, ahead, but that doesn’t need to dampen your spirit, or squash your excitement for ordering!!

Happy Monday, lovelies…I hope you had a lovely weekend!! The weather was so nice, even with the winds. I worked on flower beds, planted in containers, at my house, and got herbs ready to plant for Hippie and the Farmer, at the farm, where you can begin seeing them in their herb boxes at market pick up. I spent time with one of my best pals from high school, baked for customers, and enjoyed a free weekend of nothing.

I hope you are feeling recharged, and ready to face the week. And, I hope that this little local market of love can provide you with the ease of ordering all the local goods that you have come to love without the hassle of shopping inside the stores.

Just About A Year Ago...

Just about a year ago, I set out on the road,

Happy Monday, happy market ordering day, and happy song implant for the day!!

I was up, early, with coffee, watching the sunrise, making breakfast, and had Creedence Clearwater Revival as my morning music. I started humming this song, and it struck me that the first verse perfectly summed up this past year, the market, your support, and your love.

Here we are…we went from bad to worse to the pot of gold, of sorts.

Nothing makes me happier than to steer this market with all of you. Each and every week, my heart is full, as I watch orders flood in for each vendor. You make this local market family what it is…you all are the pot of gold.

This week, we also see the return of flowers!! Two of our floral vendors have listings, and I already ordered some of the beautiful apricot tulips that are listed from Flourish!

Kim’s Homestead also has beautiful planters listed, and some of her lovely gladiolus!

Also, the microgreens look lovely, along with the early radishes!

The market offer so much, so make sure to take advantage!!
