A Cosmic Fall Favorite!! This bread is my basic french bread recipe with swirls of organic dark brown sugar, organic sugar, and layers of cinnamon. Thinly sliced, tart apples are placed on top of the sugary goodness and rolled up for baking! This is so good eaten alone, toasted, or as french toast. It all started when I entered a cook-off at the local farm market. I knew I wanted to make a rockin' panini and needed the perfect bread as my backdrop. I came up with an oregano bread and then I kicked it up with a bit of heat by adding red pepper flakes to the dough. And, what goes the best with oregano and red pepper flakes? Parmesan! My panini creation started with my oregano bread, slices of provolone cheese, roasted banana peppers, carmelized garlic (spread on the slices of bread), slices of juicy tomatoes...all grilled into an award winning panini!
